Our team is evolving!

At the end of 2018, our lead Software Engineer Linus Gasser moved from DEDIS to the Center for Digital Trust (C4DT), where he will continue to bring technologies from EPFL’s labs into the real world. The DEDIS lab is affiliated with C4DT, and our software is available in the C4DT Factory Incubator. In the Factory, software projects are refined, searched for bugs, documented, and made ready for use by external users.

The post of lead Software Engineer is now filled by Jeff Allen, and we’ve added two new faces to the team as well.

Gaylor Bosson recently received his Master from EPFL. He spent a year in industry for his final project, working with a small company specialized in Machine Learning. He touched many aspects from the front-end to the back-end and worked as a full-stack engineer which is his main area of interest aside from applied crypto and distributed systems.

NoƩmien Kocher just finished his master thesis from the Universtity of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland. During his master studies, he worked in collaboration with the School of Enginnering of Fribourg and the Swisscom Digital Lab on Machine Learning research projects. His main area of interest is sofware engineering, where complex problems are solved with well designed and robust pieces of code.

With our rejuvenated team of Software Engineers we look forward to continuing to support the education, research, and industrial partnership missions of the lab in 2019.
